Almost have had enough of this

I don't know what's the problem not am I going to trawl through lot's of posts but even using the new voip ip my gxp2000 still unregisters often leaving us with no calls and some times not even knowing. This is not good enough we have Sipgate voiptalk and blueface on the other 3 lines and there is never a problem.
I'll give it another week after that were going back to some one that can provide a decent service.

How on earth can you blame Voipfone???

Nobody else has been complaining about any droupouts or disconnections. My device has had NO dropouts, disconnections or registration failures for some time now!

It is clearly a problem your end. I suggest you go through your setup and tweak your settings.

I totally agree with you. The tech support has not solved the problem with frequent loss of service, specially with the grandstream ATA and telephones. I am using other service and never even once I face the problem of disconnection. I have also almost given-up the voipfone.

Well here we go again, just sat for the last hour saying oh it's quiet here today isn't it when I noticed it has unregistered once again. This can't go on guys. Your costing me money .

Can I port my voipfone London no to another provider?
Probably not and have spent a fortune advertising it.

Have you been through the config and set-up instructions for you phone?

No I have not as I have other providers configured and don't want to overwrite them.
It would be better if you could post the normal settings for a gxp2000.

Ever thought that the settings you're using with another provider may not be compatible or may cause issues with another?

I know Sipgate for example want me to change settings that will affect all lines regardless of who they are with! That does not mean I will get any problems with my providers but it could cause issues.

As my SIP settings for example cover all VOIP accounts/lines, however any changes I make under line 1 or line 2 will only affect that account!

For example, if I setup a Sipgate account against my line 2 while Voipfone is on line 1 then Sipgate constantly fails registration every couple of mins!

You could try removing your other service providers for a period of 24 hours on a Sunday for example and setup your device with the config Voipfone have recommended, and then if no issues are found you know for sure it is a configuration issue your end!

(Which is what it is because nobody else seems to be posting about any disconnections?)

It is impossible for Voipfone to provide technical information or setup information for every make and model on the market. I do agree however they should provide a bit more setup information than they already do! I also think they should provide manual setup instructions instead of the automated ones they have! But they don't so I guess if you don't want to do any of the above then all you can do is tweak your settings yourself until you hit the spot. And if that don't work then replace your device or walk I guess!

Sounds harsh I know, I'm sure Voipfone don't want to lose your custom but those are your options!

Hey good news it seems to be alot better now since I took the plunge and used the config wizard. It has not gone off once since Saturday evening. Yes the settings look different to any of my other providers.

I have not been posting about the registration problems because I'm arsed off
with it and have sent ethereal dumps to support and have had no response ..

I have set up a monitor on my network of pap2s and you can see below
when they are down/not registered - it runs by polling every 5 minutes.

The pap2s have various configs, home being mine with register=60 secs

As I write this its just gone off ...
