Cheapest reasonable solution

I want to use VOIP for an extra line for a home business. Due to the house layout, I can't easily get a wired network connection to the room I use as an office, but I have quite a strong wireless connection.

Are there any reasonably priced USB handsets which would give decent quality? I can live with a phone which only works while the PC is on, although it isn't ideal.

I know these questions have been asked before, but perhaps things get better over time.

Re: Cheapest reasonable solution

We have not tested USB handsets so are unable to provide feedback on them.

If the mains sockets are all on the same ring main you could use 'home plug' type devices to send networking signals via the mains system in your house. This will provide a network socket in your office which a phone can be plugged into.
