Master Voicemail

#1
Hi,

I have 3 direct lines mapped to 3 extensions, one of which is our "main" incoming number.

I want to be able to listen to the voicmail on that "main" number from any extension, which I think I should be able to do by dialling 1572.

However, that doesn't seem to work and I think that somehow I have to set the "main" number as the master PBX account to get 1572 to work, but I can't see how to do that. VM is turned on for all extensions and works fine on a per-extension basis.

Any help appreciated!

Mark

For voicemails to go to 1572 the number needs to be set to 'ring extension group'. Then specifiy the extension(s) you want in the group with the 'group' tick boxes.

OK, thanks. I've done that and it works as you have said.

However, when I set up the main line like this I don't get any indication on the grouped extensions that there is a message waiting in the master mailbox. Is there any way around this?

Unfortunately not. Email alerts are sent and they can be accessed via 1572
