Linksys 3102

1. Connect your PC directly to the adaptor:

Connect an ethernet cable from your PC straight to the 'Ethernet' socket on the adaptor.

2. Visit your 3102's configurations page:

Click on one of thse two links to get into the web interface of your device. http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.1.1/

One of the above links should bring up a Linksys or Sipura branded web interface. If this does not work please restart your network settings on your computer, if you're not sure how to do this you can restart the whole computer then try again.

3. Login as an administrator, view configuration in advanced view and select voice.

Click the 'Admin Login' button at top right of page, then click 'Switch to advanced view' at the top right of the page, then click 'Voice' at the top left of the page.

4. Setting up the line

Click Line 1. Once you have the page up that you need to configure you need to enter the following information

A: Proxy and Registration;

Proxy sip.voipfone.net

Use outbound proxy :No

Outbound proxy sip.voipfone.net

Use OB Proxy in Dialog: Yes

Register: Yes

Make Call without Reg: No

Register Expires: 60

Everything else can be left on its defaults in the Proxy and Registration section

B: Subscriber Information

Display Name: Name you wish to have displayed when making calls to other VoIP users

User ID: Your user ID starting 30 and consisting of 8 digits. E.g. 30100000 [for PBX users enter user ID with *200 at the end, where your extension is 200. E.g. 30100000*200]

Password: Your 6 digit Voipfone password. This can be found in your sign up confirmation email. If you're setting up an extension - it's the password for your extension. You can find it here https://www.voipfone.co.uk/extensions.php#ext

Use Auth ID: Yes

Auth ID: Same as User ID (see above)

Everything else can be left on its defaults in the Subscriber Information section.

Once this information is entered submit changes by clicking save settings or submit changes at the bottom of the page. Your device should now be working, if not try enabling the outbound proxy. See 4.A above for information on how to do this.

5. Other Settings
To get the best performance out of your device you can edit some of the default settings.

A. Registration Retry Interval

This setting determines how long your device should wait before trying to register again if you lose registration for any reason. To change this value:

Choose SIP tab, under SIP Timer Values (sec) change Reg Retry Long Intvl to 120

B. Regional Settings

The Linksys PAP2T can be set to give regional sounds; by default it has American sounds. The settings can be changed in the Regional Tab. UK settings are as follows:

C. Dial Plans

Dial plans allow you to customise how numbers are dealt with when you make a call. You can apply the dial plan at the bottom of 'Line 1' or 'Line 2'
