IVR Features

I am thinking of using Voipfone in our business, but have a question regarding the IVR or auto attendant feature.
We have a system that I actually wrote myself about 16 years ago (shows my age) that presents an auto-attendant to the incoming call on analog lines and says "Welcome to our absolutely wondeful company - please type the extension required or press 1 for sales, 2 for support or 0 or hold for the operator".
It's the "type the extension" that I'm interested in. Reading the manual it seems to suggest that I can only transfer a call to a department. Is this the case, and if I want to be able to transfer a call to individuals in my organization that I have to set up a department for each person?

At present it's not possible to have direct dialling to extensions from the IVR service.

You can have menu options 0 though to 9 directing to extensions / groups / queues though.

We do have plans for introducing new features such as this one though.
