Hello all.
I am using a Siemens Gigaset S685IP phone with my Voipfone account.
I have tried the following unsuccessfully.
1. Receive a call to my Voipfone number
2. Dial external number
3. Transfer original call received to external number dialled.
Has anyone been successful in doing this and what settings did you need to adjust in your router or phone config page? I am trying to avoid purchasing a PBX at the moment as I cannot justify cost for the moment.
Thank you all in advance for your help.

#2Hi,
Have you successfully connected to the Siemens box and run the configuration wizard ? What information did you enter into this ?

Re: receive & transfer to external number using Siemens S685ip
#3Hello GISVPN
I can make and receive calls via my Voipfone account, through the phone. Voipfone is the fourth provider I have configured on the phone.
I have tried opening more RTP ports and forwarding them to the phone.
Not sure what else to try.
My goal is to be able to do the following.
1. Receive call to voipfone number
2. place caller on hold
3. dial external number
4 transfer caller to external number dialled
Any suggestions on what else I should try will be greatly welcomed.
Thanks in advance again

#4Hi DeeVAS,
Sorry I see what you are trying to do.
I think one thing to check is that the 'Allow 1 VOIP Call Only' setting is currently set to 'No'. This is under 'Settings' tab and 'Audio' on the side menu. You should then see the first option as 'Allow 1 VOIP Call Only' and this should be set to No.
This setting will ensure you can forward the call as I think this is required in order for it to work.
To then forward the call you have to toggle between two calls to do this I think you do the following.
1. Someone calls you on your VOIP number and you pick up.
2. You want to transfer the call so you press the Phone pick up button again.
3. Dial the Number you can to transfer the call to.
4. Wait for someone to answer the call you just dialled.
5. Press Options > Call Transfer
This should then transfer the call.
Hope this helps, let me know if you have tried any of the following. The forwarding feature is provider dependant. I use a Cisco phone and it works fine in a similar way to above so I know it works with VOIPfone.
