Is IVR going to work for us?

Hi,

Happy Voipfone customer here. Currently we have just the 1 line and department. We seem to be getting more and more customers phoning what is our pre-sales line asking for support, we dont offer phone support. What we would like is the phone to ring, then our greeting play and ask the caller to press 1 if they want sales and 2 if they want support. If they press 1 then the call rings our extensions and if they press 2 it plays another message saying we do not currently offer telephone support and telling them how to open a ticket online, the call would then end.

Is this possible with IVR?

Yes, that works. You just need two departments one which directs to your phone the other doesn't need to have a phone at all so calls to it go straight to voicemail with whatever message you like.
