Free number and Geographic number

#1
Is it possible to set up a Linksys 942 so the free 056 number and the geographic number I have purchased are seperate.

When I dial in to the geographic number the phone rings, however when I dial the free number 056.. the number is ringing, but the handset does not ring..

Anyone help?
Many thanks
T

Are you using our PBX service with multiple extensions?

If not you should find the geographical number and the 056 number act in exactly the same way.

If you do want the numbers to route to two different places then you would need two PBX extensions.

Thanks

I have 2 extensions set up... but I'm not sure I know what I ma doing!!

The penny has not dropped yet... so I am unsure if I have things set up correctly!

I am in a way testing bits and pieces to see how they work, so I can understand better.

What puzzles me is I have the Linksys set up with my account ID ...on line 1. now when I phone the geographic number it rings... when I dial the 056 number it does not ring... as the account ID is for the whole account... what other setting am I missing that distibguishes the geographic fromt he 056?
Cheers
T

After some more dablling..I think I have it figured out... however!!!

I have set up the SPA942 with [userid]*200 (and the associated password - listed in the pbx settings - note different to the general account password) - in the pbx this is set up as the geographic number

I have set up the xlite softphone with [userid]*201 (and the associated password fromt he pbx settings) - in the pbx this is set up as the free 056 number.

When I dial the geographic number from an external phone ... only the SPA942 rings. When I dial the free 056 number from an external phone ... only the xlite softphone rings.
So far so good... all apears to be good!
When I dial 200 from the xlite softphone the SPA942 rings .. when I dial 201 from the SPA942.. nothing happens...

Am I missing something?
Thanks for any help
