We have it in test at the moment.

We have a couple of outstanding issues with snom on the firmware - when snom have sorted them out we'll make a decision about selling and supporting it.

We're not terribly convinced by it yet but it's a bit early to tell.

Best DECT IP Phone?

#3
Thanks
I thought that might be the case.
I am trying to choose a DECT phone for a remote office, so far the Siemens S450 IP looks the best bet, but which of them is the most reliable etc. in your opinion?
One of the most important functions is to be able to transfer calls both ways between offices. We are trying Snom 320's in London, and have found them very good so far, but need a more mobile solution elsewhere for preference.

Thanks

The 450 is fine but not quite as good as the snom 3xx. Transfer works ok but can be a bit slow sometimes. Its main problem for us is that it only has 2 lines which makes it more of a consumer device than business (but fine for a relatively low calling rate office).

The snom M3 transfers faster and has 3 lines (and up to 8 handsets) - but it's going to be quite a bit more expensive.

Yes, you can have as many numbers as you like on any of our phones because that's all done by our network not the phone.

If you need to know which number was called so that you can answer the phone xyz instead of abc you need Line Presentation - see:

https://www.voipfone.co.uk/Voipfone_Use ... c187049922

(It comes as a feature of the PBX - but if you buy an extension for 99p pm you get it - along with some other stuff too.)

Snom M3 Testing

#8
Do you have any idea how long it might be before you have a decision on whether you will offer the M3?

You mentioned a couple of issues that you have with the firmware, can you say what they are?

I guess that the higher price of the M3 than the S450 is not an issue for most people unless they are buying large quantities. We would only need 2 or 3, so function and reliability are top of the list.

Thanks
