Voice Response Systems don't recognise my key presses

#1
These systems (press 1 for Sales, 2 for Accounts etc) use DTMF; dual tone multi-frequency or Touchtone.

Pressing a key on your phone sends a tone to the system which tells it the number you pressed.

If it doesn't work for you it means DTMF is not set up correctly in your phone.

Make sure your DTMF setting is either set to RFC2833 or AVT

Very occasionally using a low bandwidth codec such as the GSM codec may cause problems too; try changing it to g711a.

(Look in your manual to see how to do this with your particular phone. If you have problems finding it, please email support with details of your phone).
