other softphone?

#1
Hi!
I would like to try other softphone with voipfone but without success.
I tried idefisk but we cannot specify the Authorization User and the sip proxy and it failed to register
I tried sipcommunicator too , you still cannot specify the Authorization User but you can specify the proxy.
I got registred, can call the 123 to test but incoming calls were not working, i 'm told that nobody is availiable.

Have you try other sofphone than xlite?? I need a softphone with multiple sip account dealing (like sipcommunicator does).
Any idea?

Thanks.

Re: NCH Express Talk for Mac & PC

Hi,

I'd really like to get Express Talk working with my Voipfone accounts. Has anyone managed to get it working? I think the problem may be something do with the ports Express Talk has as default, but as I'm not that techy when it comes to ports and modems I'm not too sure what to do.

Has Voipfone done any testing? It would be useful to know as Express Talks is designed for Windows and Apple so it makes it very handy when it comes to using it on business laptops, in the office desktop, and remote office workers. Express Talk Business offers the capability of more than one sip account which I really need. The interface is simple and easy to use.

It's just that I can't set it up.... :(

Cheers,

Tracy

Works fine for me. I just let it use all the defaults (but turn off Video).

Server (SIP Proxy or Virtual PBX) is sip.voipfone.co.uk

SIP Number or Username is your 8 digit account nummber 3xxxxxxx or if using an extension 3xxxxxxx*2xx.

Password is your 6 digit password.

That's weird. I downloaded the Basic version of Express Talk and I can't find any video function. I'm using the Mac version. I'm not worried about video anyway.

I had to change the local sip port from 5070 to 5060 and it seems to now be able to dial a number and connect. However there is silence from both ends. I can't hear the other party, and they don't get any sound from me. RTP port starts at 8000.

My Snom phone works fine on the same router/modem so I should be able to get sound. Any ideas?

It's using STUN to get around my NAT router (Stun Server 1: stun.noc.ams-ix.net; and Stun Server 2: stun.voipbuster.com). It put these in when I rant the Network Setup Wizard.

Cheers,

Tracy
