One big variable with any softphone is whatever else is going on on your PC at the same time.

If you've got other tasks running that might take a lot of CPU time or network bandwidth, then this can affect calls.

I'd suggest keeping the Task Manager running in the background. Whenever you get a call drop, flick to the Performance and Networking tabs of the task manager to see if you had high CPU or network use at the time.

If you did, that's the cause and you need to work out what tasks are doing it.

If not, the problem lies somewhere else - maybe an X-Lite bug, maybe your network route from you to Voipfone.
