1571 problem

#1
At long last I have my cordless phone connected for landline and VOIP use using a Netgear wireless router and Linksys adaptor. However, when I ring 1571 for voicemail messages I only get the VIOP messages and no longer the BT messages. Is that to be expected or is there a solution?

There is a solution, you can add a custom dial plan on 'line 1' of your phone adaptor.

For example:

(999SO|112SO|1471SO|1571@<gw0>|1572SO|123SO|150SO|152SO|154SO|155SO|118SO|200SO|201SO|202SO|203SO|204SO|205SO|206SO|207SO|208SO|xxx*xxx|3xxxxxxx*xxx|0[1-9]xxxxxxxxxS0|00[1-9]x.|*x.|*x#|*xx|*xx#|*#xx#|#xx#|*xx*|*xxx#|*#xxx#|#xxx#|**x|**xxx*x.)

Will send 1571 out of your fixed line.

Thanks for that but "Jaw hits floor" on reading your reply. After two full months of trying and with Sean's help and patience I have got to where I am by tying phones, adaptor and router together with lots of wire. There ends my technical knowledge. Just where do I begin with the formula you have sent me please?

How do I get to the Linksys page where the Dial Plan is please? When I put the Linksys address in the browser it opens up my Netgear wireless router settings.

Using the phone plugged into your adapter;

Dial **** 110 #

This will give you the IP address of your adapter.

Type this web address into the address bar of your browser and press enter.

You should be faced with the PAP2 web config.

Click on Admin Login (top right) then click on switch to advanced view (top middle.

Once on this view, click on the line you wish to apply a dial plan for.

You will see dial plan at the bottom of the page, this is where you want to be entering the information.

If you need any help writing a dial plan, give me a shout.

It looks to be as simple as changing 1571SO in the string to 1571<gw0>. However, after making the change, I left a message on my landline but dialing 1571 only gives me the voip number messaging options. I must be missing something here. If I am using the one handset for landline and voip, when I dial 1571 I will be looking to hear messages left both to my voip number and my landline number. Surely there must be something to be done to identify which source of messages I am looking to hear?

Oops, it needs to be changed to 1571@<gw0> .. missed the @ on the above instructions.

Will edit this now.. Sorry about that.
