BT Broadband Home Hub 5

I have seen some references to the danger of VOIP with the Home Hub 5.
Apparently there is an open port which can not be closed and even returns a closed status when it is open.
Has anyone come across this and can I do anything other than change router?
I am using a Cisco 7960 happily with no open or forwarded ports on the hub. I also use an Amahi server which is my DHCP controller not the Home hub.
Any help and advice please?

There is no "fix" other than to not use the home hub.

The answer I feared. I have an used business hub from a previous business which I will use instead.
I don't think that has the port open issue
