Downloaded and installed for Outlook easily, put my headset on, right clicked on the person I needed to call and my landline rang.

Answered that slowly and missed the call but did notice the caller display had my Voipfone number on it. :?

Next time I was ready and call made successfully. I was expecting it to call me on my Softphone rather then BT line. Must be a setting somewhere so tried changing Dialing Options> Line Properties and got Internal Error Occurred in the automatic phone dialer.......

Are we doing the make two calls cheaper thing using POTS here and not using VOIP?

Have I missed something?

Nic

You can use this with your land-line but you will then pay for both legs of the call. When you run the installer you should have entered

Your registered email address

Your voipfone account number

Your Voipfone password

When you then make a call with it set up this way your Voipfone will ring and when you answer you will be connected to the dialed number. That way you will only pay for the call as you would if you'd dialled it yourself.

I would suggest that you run the installer again and ensure that you have entered the correct details.

It wasn't the wrong install details but a simple need to have the softphone running when I made the call. My if not available divert means it went to my BT line.

Problem is solved thanks.

Using Outlook 2003 and Windows XP
