Hi, future user here.
I've checked out the features and prices and I have to say it sounds like the best on the market. I got a sales call the other day from a telecomms company to offer an 0845 number for £150 and ridiculous prices for extras, glad to say I declined.
I would be diverting my Viopfone to a mobile number until I set up the viopfone telephone. However my office is on the first floor of my house (I have a home based business) and the router and telephone socket is on the ground floor. How can I use a Viopfone telephone system when my office is not in the same room as the sockets? I could use an extension cable, I guess? Any advice would be welcome.

The best solution is to run a network cable, best quality and reliability. If running cables is not easy it is possible to use devices which send the network signal over your buildings electrical system. See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HomePlug
