Hi

Here is how I have it wired up: Virginmedia cable modem <-> SPA2102 <-> Wireless router, with a phone in the Phone 1 socket.

I have folled the "quick install" instructions and these links: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=3828 and http://www.voipfone.co.uk/Support.php?cat_id=14&id=172

I can still access the net, and I have 3 steady green lights on my adapter (on, internet and phone 1) whbich I guess is good. But I have no dialing tone on the phone and it does not ring when I dial it. Oh, and my Voipfone account definetely works as I have been usign a softphone.

Any ideas?

One thing I am not sure about is whether I need to set "Enable MAC Clone Service" to yes. I have experimented a bit with this, but it did not help. If I do need it, I am not even sure what MAC address I should use - the one in my wireless router does not seem to be related to any computer I use now.

Cheers

Steve

Is your phone connected up using one of these?

If your Internet is already working you don't need the MAC Clone option.

No, I used the cable supplied with the adapter - it had the same style socket at each end.

I don't know if this is significant, but while the 3 lights were on last night when I got up this morning the Phone 1 light was out. I rebooted the adapter and got 3 steady lights again.

It's important the RJ11 to BT adapter with ring capacitor is used. RJ11 to RJ11 cables can have different wiring methods so are not compatible with all phones.

Linksys adapters from us include all the connectors you require, it's important the original cable which came with your phone is used along with the supplied RJ11 to BT adapter.
