A total re-build of the logged in website (control panel) using Jquery/Ajax and other very cool technology. This will make it much easier to use and navigate, allows us to fix some problematic applications - like the Package Builder and Payments and lets us add new features faster.

Should be available to play with very shortly. (It will also contain a couple of new features such as PBX diverts using customised Business Hours)

I agree this would be a really good addition to an already very good hosted PBX service. If however you look at the poll above overall it is not very high on the list (4%) !

Voipfone - are you thinking of this as part of your next set of improvements ?

As always, we have to do seemingly non-obvious things in order enable other more obvious things to happen. I wish it wasn't this way but there you go - if it was easy everybody could do it :-)

How are we doing with the development now guys? It seems a bit slow!

i for one am looking forward to an email from your inspired leader with some new features on it!

Is the new website in beta ... or even alpha.... for some of us to try out?

Yes it's slow, slower than a really slow thing; but it's also been quite hard and taken 5 months of our development effort using a whole bunch of new technologies that (hopefully) the user will be completely unaware of. The latest lie from development (today) is that it's done.

So, in theory, we're very close. We have some internal tyre kicking to do, some missing text to add and a couple of weeks of bug hunting and we can release it. In theory.

There will be a couple of new features in the release on day one - call barring, call diverts using business hours, order tracking - but it also allows us to add new features a lot easier.

I really hope I'm not saying this again in August....

Hi guys....anything?

I do ofeel it has been a LONG time since anything really good was added, development seems to have slowed to a non-existant level.

When I first took VoiPfone on, I knew you were developing your own things and that is what i liked about it. Its fairly stable (now), but new features are the lifeblood of the service, at least until you have given enough to enable customization.

Please could we know some timestables or something? or have you sacked all your programmers and are just milking it for a bit?

Not quite up to the standards of E=mc2!

Those new technologies you were using, are now old.... maybe better to start again using some new technology!

Well I too am patiently waiting for some new functions to allow me to better utilise my call system, most prominent is the ability to change the on hold music so that I can add promotional / seasonal variation marketing messages instead ;)
Especially with Xmas coming up ;)

Trust me, this is more frustrating for us than you. We've been working on network and platform development for most of this year to cope with the growth that we're still seeing and also various changes in billing practices and maintenance. All very necessary but also very frustrating as far as getting out new products and features.

If you know any good coders, we're recruiting.........
