|
|
Can this be implemented at all (or is it and I can't find it??)
Can we have some sort of control over when the answering service kicks in? It seems to be set at 30secs just now.
Maybe a choice of 10, 20, 30s ?
I have calls to one number that go to all extensions. One of these is forwarded to my mobile during the day. My mobile's maximum delay before going to it's answering service is 30secs and so just grabs the call when I'd rather it went to my Voipfone service.
I don't want to turn off the mobiles answering service as I want people who dial it directly to get that service.
Don't us end users just want the earth!! |

Yes and we like it
But this month we're mostly doing big network stuff. When that's done, we'll get round to the nice tweakable features. _________________ Regards

On the lines of a "wish list" what about "divert out of hours"
If "divert out of hours" was set to the extension for that day I woudn't have to change my master account answerphone message every other night when there is a different engineer on call. Or I wouldn't miss calls because I forget to change the divert through the PBX panel back in the morning.

In February you said 'We are too busy this month'.
Now it is September
Are we getting any closer to the ability to adjust the pickup period for voicemail?
I find it a real problem .....
1. Getting Voipfone to handle my incoming PTSN calls via the Sipura 3K, I cannot set BT's Call minder to wait long enough for Voipfone's voicemail to answer. (And I need Call Minder as a backup).
2. Most people are not used to waiting longer than 20 seconds IMHO, they just give up, assuming there is no voicemail. |

Just bumping this up!
We will have 100 or so users of VoIPFone in our office - and having to wait 30 seconds for voicemail to kick-in is just not right.
It's a pretty basic requiremet I would think.
Any news of when it may arrive? |

When using Snom hard phones, and a inbound number is set to go directly to an extension it is possible for the call to be directed to voicemail after a shorter amount of time. Simply setup a timeout divert, and enter no number.
We are busy prioritising our development list; hopefully this feature will be enabled system wide in the foreseeable future. _________________ Regards

AH-HA!!
That is a REALLY useful tip - thank you!
We have all SNOM 300 phones and that works just great.
Now all I need to do on the Voipfone site is to set divert on fall-over - and the rest can be done via the SNOM.
I think this should be made a STICKY as it's so useful - and solves a basic omission from Voipfone functions (cough, cough ). |

Is there any way to do this on the Sipura devices? There is a "Cfwd No Ans Delay" and "Cfwd No Ans Dest" settings, but putting a delay in "Cfwd No Ans Delay" and doesn't seem to make it do anything.
Thanks in advance |

|
|
Can we have the ability to extend the 30 second total call duration. We run a 24 hour service and when diverting to a mobile phone we lose 10 to 15 secs in the transfer process which leaves the On Call person only 15 secs to answer the phone.
I dont know about any of you, but if I get a call in the middle of the night - it takes me at least 30 secs to drag myself out of bed and look for the phone let alone answer it
Hope you can help. |

Is there any update with this? It's really important for me to have the answering machine kick in under 30 seconds... no one is going to wait that long! When I'm out of the office I want to be able to set it to 5 or 10 seconds.
Do you have a realistic timescale for when this will be complete please? _________________ Plastic Box Website Design |

Most phones also have a 'DND' (Do Not Disturb) button - which you can press before leaving the office to send calls straight to voicemail. _________________ Regards

Am I right in guessing then that the Snom 300 will provide the functionality I'm looking for? _________________ Plastic Box Website Design |

Thanks. Final questions (and probably a silly one!!).
I see in a number of places in the forum and the website, when you discus setting call forwarding on these phones you say that you set the number to divert to. What's the number to divert to if I want to send someone directly to the voicemail?
Or do I need to set up an extension that goes directly to voicemail in my account, and if so how do I achieve his? Basically I want a number to forward to (I'd probably use my default 05600 number to forward calls to, but I'd want it to go straight to the answer machine.
Your help is much appreciated! _________________ Plastic Box Website Design |

On a Snom, just set a divert to divert the call to no number. If you just leave the number field blank, it goes to voicemail _________________ Regards
