|
|
Hi all
I have a Snom300 at home which is perfect for my needs when i am desk-bound.
However i have been looking at getting a wifi voip handset to use on the same account for the times when i am not desk-bound.
I've read the articles on 2-phones-on-the-same-account.
Does anyone have a reccomendation for a handset that works well with voipfone?

Yep.
Don't use Wi-Fi handsets ... Wi-Fi and Voip goes together like chalk and cheese. The sort of packet loss you get with Wi-Fi just isn't compatible with VoiP unless you're right next to the access point, which kind of negates the whole point of the exercise.
Instead, use a regular cordless phone with an Analog Telephone Adapter. |

Cool thanks.
I'd kind of kicked wifi into touch anyway, as i've hardwired the network in our house as the layout and construction is not wifi friendly anyway.
I'll take a close look at the siemens handset and other similar dect phones.
