I operate a business along side a partner company. At present we are still separate companies but share a lot of information and could eventually become a single company.
I want to be able to easily contact extensions between companies but both need a separate incoming number at the moment.
I want to be able to transfer calls within the companies easily as well.
However, when a client of my company rings I want it to just ring my phone. When a client of the other company calls I want it to just ring them; but still be able to transfer should it be necessary.
I guess I have probably answered my own question in that for now it would be best for both companies to have separate accounts and numbers and think about having a single PBX at a late date.
But I was wondering if anybody has had a similar situation and if there is a solution I am missing.. |

You could use the one account.
Have separate numbers for your company and your partner company.
But having the one account means you could transfer the calls between the two companies if necessary.
You can purchase telephone numbers from voipfone and direct them to any one or multiple extensions you purchase.
Hope this helps.
