|
|
Hi Guys.
This might be the wrong place (move if required), but wonder is anyone has done this yet.... On Snom phones you can set-up an address book or click on the last numbers allowing you to call from the browser screen from the phone directly. Just wondered if anyone has set-up Windows Phone Dialler (or something that will work with Sage) so that for example we can click the dial button in Sage to dial the phone on our desk without needing to punch the number in manually.
just seem like such a great idea.. but its a little beyond me.
Ta

On a more advanced note, it's possible to dial a number via a remote http get command on the Snom phone.
If your Snom's IP address was 192.168.1.2 then visiting the URL of 192.168.1.2/command.htm?NUMBER=152 would make your phone call 152.
It's possible you may be able to use this idea to integrate things into your own CRM system more. _________________ Regards

Good.
Would you mind posting the config so that others can try it too? _________________ Regards

Yeah no problem... very simple.
Sage just uses the default setting of phone dialer, so once setup as default it works great.
1. install the voipfone software as detailed
2. then within sage open up a contact
3. click the contacts tab (if you don't have it check your prefs in the setting menu), click new then the little phone icon.
4. the first time it might fail, if it does do the following
5. Once phone dialer is open and failed to dial click the Edit menu
6. Then select the following options
7. under "preferred line of dialing" select phone
8. then under "line used for" click the menu and choose voipfone.
9. save and then click the contact within Sage again.
That's how i setup, might not be the same for all. My current confirm is XP Home with Sage Line 50 Version 7 will all the bells.. will be installing in the new office on Monday so if i have trouble i'll advise.
Hope that helps anyone else with Sage.
