|
|
Having changed the SIP server address to sip.voipfone.co.uk, the Register Server to sip.voipfone.co.uk, and the SIP Service Domain setting to sip.voipfone.co.uk; I find that I can longer register my VOIP connection anymore.
Does anyone out there have any idea as to why this might be?
Thank you in advance.

| Have you tried registering with the ip address instead of using sip.voipfone.co.uk? |

| I assume you have also set the Outbound Proxy as required (nat.voipfone.co.uk:5065) and have opened the relevent ports on your router ? |

You assume correctly wintonian, nothing has changed since yesterday when this emergent technology actually worked. I have also tried resetting the url's to voipfone.co.uk...but the thing's having non of it.
Regards
Thank you for taking the time to come back.
PS Strange..but my Sipgate setting registers with no problem at all...hmmm...maybe I should just go back to Sipgate. |

| Thanks VCS, absolutely whizzing idea. It was the first thing that I thought of doing as usually clears 95% of all router problems...but as you can tell from my whining presence here that it didn't work on this occasion. Any really bright ideas anybody...thanks |

Well why not take your attitude problem back to sipgate!
People are trying to offer you help but if all you can do is make smart alec comments then you know what you can do! |

| Well coolwelshbloke (sic) it seems its not only me with an "attitude problem", however seeing as you feel so strongly about it I will; good bye and thank you, I have no doubt that voipfone will not miss my somewhat meagre contribution to their coffers. I will cease my account forthwith...any more bright ideas... |

Yes please make sure you close the door on your way out!
A little bit of gratitude wouldn't go a miss. People are trying to offer you help but if all you can do is moan and throw it back in peoples faces then you do not deserve that help! |
